Bismo’s Buddy Wins An Emmy!

I know somebody who knows somebody who’s won an Emmy! In fact, it’s his second such award. Leave it to Bismo to mention it almost as an afterthought in a blog post about beer!

Adam “Mojo” Lebowitz does special effects for the TV show Battlestar Galactica; which, as mentioned previously, we’re watching on DVD with Bismo. The award is for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Series. Here’s Mojo holding his Emmy, dressed for the occasion in Battlestar gear from the original series. Big time congratulations!

  1. Sorry, Arnie, I meant your NEPHEW, Bill, and I WAS there with you. The year was 1974, and we were at your sister Phyllis’s house in Lexington, MA.

  2. jeanie beanie,

It’s Arnie Kogen. Usually the night before the Emmys, for good luck, I sit in a tub of pudding. I don’t remember you being there with me. And what cousin were you dating? None of my cousins are remotely datable. The ones that are dating are dating each other.

  3. Congratulations, Mojo! HA! I was just mentioning to Molly how I sat with Arnie Kogen the night before he won an Emmy for Best Comedy Writing on “The Carol Burnett Show.” Hey, my degree of separation is EVEN LESS! That was the night of his son Jay Kogen (also Emmy-award winning producer) now bar-mitzvah. I was dating his cousin! Best special effects! That is MAJOR! By the way, I really like Bismo’s blog.
