The Natick (MA) Mall is undergoing an ambitious expansion. This was the view of the project a couple of weeks ago, from the building where I work. It looks like they’re putting in a roller coaster, but it’s going to be a Neiman-Marcus. I’ll see if I can take a better picture from the roof, on a clear day.

It sure looks like a roller coaster, until you realize it starts and ends at the same height! The plans are for a Neimen-Marcus store and a bunch of luxury condominiums. The new trend. Making the suburbs like the city, where shopping and living are in one place. But with the starting price rumored at $500,000+, who’s going to pay that to live in Natick? It’s next to Wellesley, but isn’t Wellesley. If it’s a stunning success I’ll be surprised, but not displeased.
Time marches on! The Natick Mall was down the road a piece from good old Framingham State, my alma mater. A ROLLER COASTER?!
