Here are this year’s pumpkins, with great designs by Eric. I admit I’ve done better carving jobs. Sorry the pictures are fuzzy, but this old 1.3 megapixel camera is very motion sensitive in non-flash mode.

The pumpkin on the left is based on the character No Face, from “Spirited Away.”
I had a little project to do last night as a favor for an old friend at work. It’s the subject of something I just posted. The candy count will have to wait until tonight.
Very good; my carving stinks! Molly likes the one on the left — “very anime.” She approves, in other words. We got back from trick-or-treating about an hour ago. Molly looked surprisingly “fetching” as a “Goth bride.” She’s nearly as tall as me now. The black lipstick and nails were great, and she carried a single black silk rose.
OK, so don’t forget — you’re going to give us the Post-Halloween candy count (what was left after the kiddies rang your doorbell). How does Carol divvy it out? Molly is being generous and giving half her candy away to her best friend Annie (and her younger brother and sister) because they have all been out of school for a week with a virulent strain of some stomach virus. Annie was actually hospitalized over the weekend! I know how scary that is.
Man, I miss the old days when Larry Glick would play the old “Drop Dead Theare” on WBZ, after running the Orson Welles “War of the Worlds first, of course.
