Sibley on Snow

When Laserdisc was the best home video format available, studios would release expensive, deluxe editions of movies with all sorts of extras. I bought a few of them, including a box set from Disney of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It came with a hardcover book that was co-written by none other than Brian Sibley.

  1. Pop quiz! Which American actor’s father sings the part of the Prince in “Snow White?” I know, too easy, right Brian? 😉

  2. Viking published “The Making of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” in 1979. It’s a story book with most of the illustrations taken from animation drawings and pre-production sketches. There’s a short essay at the end by Steve Hulett.

  3. The book was originally published in it’s own right and then re-issued with the laser disc set.

I wish it had been longer and more comprehensive, but it was (I think) the first of the books written about the film…
