(In answer to several queries, the woman with Obama is a middle school teacher.)
Sarah Palin obviously wants the spotlight, but holding an elected office isn’t the venue she should be pursuing. She’s a governor in the same sense that Jesse Ventura was governor of Minnesota — a joke.
I agree, Joan, that Alaska is the most Socialist state in America! Irony positively oozes from every pore of the Republican party.
I liked Sarah Palin doing Sarah Palin on SNL. She was much better than Nancy Kerrigan when she did her very stiff performance on there. She should try for a not-so prime-time players audition and/or remain in Alaska politics. Actually, Alaska is socialist with a payment of oil money averaging $3,000 per man, woman and child, and also there had been separatist talk in Alaska like there had been in Quebec province.
Rumor has it that she’s already been approached my several entertainment agencies about a talk show. Of course, if Stevens goes down, she could be running for Senator very soon. The bottom line is, whether you liked her or not, she certainly got your attention, and she has that “star quality” that sells air time on TV and cable.
Ah, yes… and what of Sarah the governor? Now that she’s had a taste of the big time, will she go back quietly to Alaska? Will Todd return to his snowmobile? Will Bristol and her boyfriend have their shotgun wedding?
That’s the friendliest face shot I’ve ever seen of Barry! Hey, he has big teeth like me! My biggest gripe with Barky was that he didn’t SMILE enough during the whole campaign. I’m sure his advisers noticed, too, as you could see himself mentally reminding himself to SMILE after Palin showed up out of nowhere. I wish you could all see my daughter Molly do her Sarah Palin impersonation, complete with “the wink.” It brings Tom and I to our knees every time.
