With lyrics like, “I spend the weekend waiting all alone, for that rat to come back home,” The Like are channeling every girl’s anger at boyfriend betrayal.

There’s a double-standard with the boyfriend being beat up, but that’s OK with me. Obviously, it wouldn’t be acceptable if the violence were reversed.
Before the latest personnel changes, and the new outfits, they were what Lia would call an authenticate band, but they weren’t getting anywhere, despite the two core members — Berg and Thomas — having fathers who are very well connected in the music biz. Heck, even The Beatles had matching suits for a few years.
For now, The Like are finding more success with an image where they’re not bad girls, like previous generations of female rockers, and they’re not sad girls, like the Shangri-Las. They’re mad girls — good girls who have been wronged, and they’re out for revenge! As long as they keep it catchy and tongue-in-cheek, it works for me.
I’m so glad you all like ” The Like ” . I heard a song of theirs playing at the Barnes&Noble cafe and I had to find out what it was. I’m so glad I followed through ! They are such a fun band. I’m a little embarrassed to say I know the words of all their songs by singing them in the car. Hey catchy is catchy !
Yes, It is cool. But they don’t seem for me an authenticate band, they aren’t natural, very dressed up for my taste.
I think their clothes are coming from a designer who works for Target, the big American chain store:

During the intro, you can hear a bit of the Hard Day’s Night movie playing in the background!
They are great.
They seem like they use the same dress size, they have the same size of body especially legs. It is by chance? I was wondering that.
