For once, a drug company being honest! Personally, acetaminophen has never helped me. When prescription Motrin came our for arthritis, millions of gynecologist prescribed it off-label for menstrual cramps. Millions of women, including myself, got down on our knees and worshipped it, but yes, you must take it with food. Tylenol is also mostly useless for migraine and severe pain (unless paired with hydrocodone). I have to take a wimpy version of Vicodin called Norco during shoulder flares.
Still, millions of people benefit from Tylenol, and can easily take too many. It is good to be reminded how deadly this otherwise excellent drug can be.
