There have been instances where certain fixes were worse than the potential problems they were intended to prevent, but for the most part you really are stuck having to take the updates. Yes, they often do really slow down Windows! Very annoying, but unavoidable, I’m afraid.
YES! I was bombarded by them yesterday. Say, what’s the best thing to do? Let them run? Slows down the werks, that’s for sure.
