In fact, Prescott was caught, as was Dr. Dawes, too. It was a little-known man named Israel Bissell who traveled by horseback for over four days yelling yes: “To arms! To arms! The war has begun!” Kudos to Warner Bros for getting it right.
Hmm… good point. I’ll have to put this to a History major or two I know.
Interesting that Paul Revere (in truth, wasn’t it Dr. Samuel Prescott?) is yelling “To arms” and not the cliched “The British are coming!” I would guess because by then we were allies.
But look at that well-animated militia!
