I have persistent A-Fib. I don’t know how long this has been going on, but it has to be less than 18 months. That was when I had two EKGs done.
First, during a physical — or was it a Medicare wellness visit? — then, weeks later, during a follow-up echocardiogram. Heart murmur? Yes. PVC? Yes. A-Fib? No.
But wait! There’s more. These are the results taken after my usual indoor workout. F’in NORMAL, and my pulse dropped by 20 beats per minute. I’ll be interested in hearing what a cardiologist says about this.
Using the Kardia 6L this week, I suggest the extra cost isn’t worth it over the cheapest model.
FranLab posted a video about this and the Oura ring recently: https://youtu.be/T4CLK3bP0hU?si=M7JKBbuozCOTcPw1
I would assume by your post that you are not on Eliquis, or any other blood thinner, until they get this diagnosis straightened out. Tom has A-Fib occasionally, like once a year or not at all. It runs in his family.
That device looks nifty! Will show it to Tom. How are you you feeling otherwise?
