Mark Volman has died.

Last night on his Big Planet Noise show, Bob Irwin celebrated Volman and the Turtles. He played all of their singles, from original 45s, going all the way back to their start as a Surf Guitar band, called the Crossfires.
This past Saturday, I was hanging out with the Sinnotts at Terror Con, in Marlborough, MA. I went home for a few hours before returning to meet them for dinner.
As soon as I got in my car, my phone buzzed with a tornado warning from the National Weather Service. On the drive home I stayed ahead of the storm. It hit just as I was pulling into the garage. Back at the convention, everybody was forced to retreat to the basement of the Royal Plaza Trade Center.
