The Sounds of Summer
Ann Morigan
Another song I have fond memories of hearing in my youth when it was played on WBCN.
Here’s the entire album. Like Odessey & Oracle by the Zombies, Love’s Forever Changes is a 1967 album that was mostly ignored when it was released, but today it’s considered to be one of the finest of the era and beyond.
Peter Green Manalishi
Outstanding late Psychedelia from the late Peter Green. The single was released in May, 1970, and Alice Cooper began recording one of my favorite albums, Love It To Death, six months later. I don’t know if one influenced the other, but it sounds likely.
Prog Rock Meets Jazz Fusion
Your favorite early 70’s FM radio sounds, all heard in a single track — Santana, Yes, and Return to Forever, with a dash of Pink Floyd!
Roll With Beethoven
Boston’s own Handel & Haydn Society is continuing its Summer of Beethoven series, with selections of past concerts.
