The Men’s Clubs

Trump refused to say what nobody was asking, about Arnold Palmer’s swinging club, but of course he said it anyway.

The restaurant was closed to the public during Trump’s visit, and the motorists whom Trump served were screened by the U.S. Secret Service and positioned before his arrival. No one ordered food. Instead, the attendees received whatever Trump gave them.

A Tax by the Name of Tariff

Trump has never met a tariff he didn’t like and, good golly gosh, The Wall Street Journal of all things has something negative to say about that.

Men without a college degree are a large part of Trump’s constituency. They have been disproportionately affected by income inequality over the past 40 years. Because income inequality is a Democratic issue, you won’t hear Trump use that term when speaking to the working class men at his rallies.

The Weather War

Each side has captured a spy from the other side!

Powell and Pressburger’s The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp starts with a practice war game between British soldiers during WWII. “Make it like the real thing!” is the commanding officer’s order.

What’s the value of playing war games in defense analysis? Can individual nations protect themselves militarily from the worldwide effects and side effects of climate change?
