Stephen Colbert is back from a week off.  Last night he commented on last week’s shift in the Bush Administration’s characterization of its Iraq policy, and Rush Limbaugh’s comments on the Michael J. Fox commercial.

Last night’s Colbert Report featured an interview with congressional candidate John Hall, from the 70’s pop band Orleans, known for “Dance With Me,” “Still the One” and “Dancin’ in the Moonlight” ^* — songs I played on the radio many times back in my DJ days!

I confess to being late coming to the fold of Stephen Colbert fans.  It was an article in Newsweek early this year that brought him to my attention.

Before getting his own show, Colbert was, of course, on The Daily Show.  Steve Carell (who, by coincidence, graduated from the same high school that I did in Massachusetts^*) was also on the show, but he left to join the cast of The Office.

Lately Jon Stewart, perhaps feeling nostalgic for the good old days, has been running clips of Steven and Stephen in action together.  Click the picture to watch.  Some of this is outright hilarious comedic acting.

Here’s the finish to George Lucas’ visit with Stephen Colbert, featuring an exciting new Tek Jansen adventure.  I have to confess that I censored 19 seconds of the cartoon!  The opening scene is just a bit too much for a family blog.  Sorry!  🙁

I don’t want this to become another Stephen Colbert blog, and goodness knows any video I post from the show will be found sooner, rather than later, on YouTube. But Colbert had a great closing to his feminism show last night, so here it is. He’s one of the finest comic actors I’ve ever seen.

Tonight’s show is supposed to include the third Tek Jansen installment, and the winning entry to the Green Screen Challenge. Plan on seeing both of them here on Thursday!
