The aged leaders of both parties are beyond their “best if used by” dates. Biden has said privately he would be a one term president, and I hope that’s what he does. This raises the prospect of the next four years being a de facto co-presidency. Harris 2024?
As it turned out, Biden dropped the idea of being a one-term president, and Harris was a typical low-profile vice president. I was losing respect for Biden until he finally accepted reality and dropped out of the race. Harris has a lot to prove between now and election day, assuming she is confirmed as the Democratic Party nominee.
