There’s lots of Azumanga Daioh on YouTube™, but as a follow-up to a previous posting, here are the end credits, framed by the commercial break outro and intro. The “Raspberry Heaven” catch-phrase is very catchy.

It took a couple of episodes to see past the underlying wackiness. Something I didn’t realize at first is the show deals with some very contemporary themes about growing up that in previous generations were simply not presented.
Some of what’s on YouTube are “mash-ups” where fans edit things and add their own music, etc. The show itself pushes the limits a bit, I must say. A high school teacher, who is totally bizarre, admits to his class that he wanted to be a teacher because he “likes high school girls.”
Molly has started watching this on YouTube. This IS a bit of mild swearing! 🙁 but it’s still good. What I like is that they have the phonetic Japanese pronunciations on the bottom. She prefers reading those!
Yes, by mail. But if it takes three days for a delivery from the nearest Netflix distribution center, the turnaround time isn’t good enough to make Netflix super convenient. We’re lucky, because it’s never more than one day there and one day back. For selection, you can’t do better, or even as good, as Netflix.
I thought Netflix was all done by mail? I’ll check it out. If not, the closet one would most certainly be in State College.
The 2-disk deal from Netflix is a good deal, assuming there’s a distribution center not too far from you.
Hmm, I notice that the artists take particular care in drawing the teen-aged girls, er, chests. Check out the shadow effects! Geeks are geeks in any language! HA! I’ll check out the other offerings on You Tube, since Molly absolutely seems to love ths one. I’ll also check out the price on Amazon.com. Say … is Netflix cost efficient? Tom would probably not agree to it, though.
