This anti-Trump screed has been making the rounds and getting a lot of attention. It made my ancient, rusty “reporter’s warning bell” ring.

So, who is Oliver Kornetzke? He seemed to appear out of nowhere, with something intended to get people worked up. Which has me wondering, even after looking through his Substack and BlueSky pages, if he is actually an AI construction, compliments of Putin.

Yeah, it’s really come to this, where I am questioning the existence of someone who is using his/her/their “real” name online.

I was trying to find out if he was a real person, as well, Doug. But for a guy who’s supposed to be a well-known Wisconsin writer, there is virtually nothing on the Internet about him, other than his social media posts. The struggle comes when one agrees with what’s being said in the essays, while knowing that the origin is suspect. I had intended to share the one about America’s 250 birthday, but under the circumstances, I won’t.
My feeling is that it inflames rather than informs.
Well, if it’s AI, it’s one of the most coherent and powerful essays it’s ever produced. Why reduce to one word what requires well-written prose to truly convey. Whatever/whoever produced this, Well done!
Thanks for the comment. From the attention Google says this post is getting, I knew others were also wondering about him. What I have seen of his “echo chamber ranting” is more obvious about Trump than it is insightful, so I haven’t looked for anything more from him.
While this author claims to be a live human (vs AI creation), his name is almost certainly a ‘nom de plume.’ Here is a link where he supposedly discusses himself: https://thehobbledehoy.com/tag/oliver-kornetzke
It’s just too much fun to be true.
I think you’re right. On 2nd reading, it’s just so over the top, even a long-time hater of der fuhrer like mih and bwh wouldn’t express themselves this way. See above just 2 words, and we can do it in one: EVIL.
