Who’s willing to claim they like Thomas “Painter of Light” Kinkaide paintings? Anyone? How about Hummel figures?
I knew that Kinkaide uses an assembly line approach. Most of what’s sold are prints that are touched-up by the production workers. My rule of thumb is, if something is called “collectible,” it isn’t.
I love snowy scenes like the one above (my media player only played the music; it didn’t show the picture). I actually DO like Hummel figures, but not Kinkaid. Did you know that most of his work is MASS-PRODUCED by artists who are trained to paint like him? I saw it on 60 Minutes!
