Coldbert

I’m sure you’re checking out The Colbert Report online for yourself, right? Nobody is counting on me, I hope, to provide highlights, since the show is now available online.

But last Monday’s intro with Jon Stewart was too good to make you go look for it. He can be so cold, even cruel, sometimes.

  1. All right, I admit it, I’ve always liked Mike Wallace the elder, even IF he was close to the Reagans, and even IF he lied about dyeing his hair. He struggled with depression most of his life. When he remarried late in life it was (saldy late) wiseacre Art Buchwald who paid somebody to play Johnny Cash singing “Walk the Line” as the groom strode up the aisle!

I will admit I was sucked into the “niceness” of Ronald like everybody else. Nancy never fooled me for a minute. Of course, now the Hillary-bashes are coming out of the woodwork, even though she’s STILL ahead of Barack (be still my heart) Obama in the early, EARLY polls.

  2. Just went to Comedy Central and noticed that instead of “check here for free tickets,” instead they have “How to get closer to HIM!” Ha to the nth. Only one concern — Mike Wallace is scheduled for next week, and I hope Stevie goes easy on him because Mike literally lost his best friend yesterday, Art Buchwald.
