For a long time I resisted using my TV tuner card as video wallpaper. I dunno, I thought it was a silly feature. But now I like it. If something sounds interesting I right-click the task bar and select Show the Desktop to watch it.

There’s an TV tuner card in the computer. It accepts standard definition analog signals from either an antenna or cable TV. There’s software for watching TV on the computer, and one of its options is to play it as Windows video wallpaper.
Explain how this works. Is it like the TV is turned on via your desktop?
