  1. It’s a nice, small and classy cabaret sort of venue. You’ve mentioned before, Dave, that Petula played cabarets going way back. So I’m hoping the setting is to her liking.

Last year she was appearing at Disney Epcot, and she had to put on several shows in a single afternoon/evening. I worry about Pet tiring herself out. She’ll be doing the same series of shows at Epcot again this year. I really think she should do no more than a couple of performances in a single day. Even legends shouldn’t push themselves too hard at 75!

  2. Go for it Doug. You’ll have the night of your life.

The tickets here are about the same price. Petula has always been a medium price artiste. I remember reading years ago this was because she liked to be affordable to the people who bought her records.

Barbra Streisand’s latest concerts in England were priced at hundreds of pounds. It meant many people couldn’t afford to see her.

I guess it’s fair to say that Pet doesn’t really need the money… but then, I guess, neither does Barbra.

  3. Only fifty bucks? Our dame-to-be is worth at least three times that much! Say, after all your work helping her get “damed,” Dougie, you at least deserve a back-stage pass! 😉
