A Beatle In Transit

Here’s a fab picture I found recently in a book that I hadn’t seen before. George Harrison with his parents, Louise and Harold, getting ready to fly to America for the second time. George had flown to the U.S. on his own in September ’63 to see his sister Louise. George’s father looked like George Orwell! The custom British European Airways logo was later seen in A Hard Day’s Night.

  1. Oh, I’m supposed to put in another request from “Emma” that she’s about to faint if she doesn’t get a new anime fix on here soon! In another totally unrelated thread, we went to see “Prince of Narnia,” on Sunday and it was pretty good. It’s hard to believe that the actress who plays the Lucy character is actually older than Molly! Natually, Molly drooled over the Prince, but her eyes were really on High King Peter. I was surprised to look up this actor and find he’s yet to portray Prince William. He’s a dead-ringer!

  2. My GOD! he DOES, Doug! and his mother looks like an elderly, heavier Mary Martin! Or perhaps, Maria Von Trapp, which Martin played on Broadway, anyway! One day I’ll post a photo of my ex-husband, who had eyes exactly like those of George Harrison. The resemblance ended there.
