Well, it sure was fun while it lasted! Larissa Kelly gave it a good run, but her reign as Jeopardy! champion has come to an end. Larissa is the first female to win more than five games, and she’s the #1 woman for money won in regular games. As my friend SamJay has pointed out elsewhere, she will undoubtedly be back for the Tournament of Champions. We look forward to seeing Larissa then. Here she is winning Tuesday’s show, and tomorrow I’ll wrap-up with her loss.

This video is from an SD recording. The previous two videos were taken from Verizon FiOS HD. Even in this greatly reduced format I think the difference in brightness and color quality is apparent. The picture below is a cropped snapshot of my HD screen, as taken with a digital camera. Click to enlarge.
Best wishes to Larissa and her husband Jeff! With the real estate market the way it is for the foreseeable future, they should have no trouble making the most of turning Larissa’s winnings into a down payment on a home.
The tournament hasn’t happened yet — not for another six months. P.S. Samjay says last year’s was in November, so maybe we only have to wait three months.
I was very disappointed that she is not on the tournament of champions – is it because shes in Mexico doing research?
Thank you
Well, six games and out. If you bet it all on DD you better know
such EASY answers as Chevalier and Le Havre (Den Hagen, The Hague), which a HISTORY Ph D ought to know… Too bad, LK and all fans.
Well at least she lost doing the same thing that helped her win and win a lot of money – betting a lot on the Daily Doubles. Unfortunately in this game she got them wrong. I bet she remembers Maurice Chevalier for a while. C’est la vie!
By the way, for what it’s worth “ask real silly” is an anagram for Larissa Kelly.
I agree. it was nice to feel good and look forward to something nice in the evening.
Exactly! She was a welcome distraction from all the doom and gloom.
Not to sound stalker-ish but she has a Facebook…
Over the past few days, I’ve slowly become obsessed with Larissa. Today, I worked furiously to get out of work at a decent hour because I wanted to watch her. So sad that it was her last night. I definitely look forward to seeing her on the TOC!
For myself, with all of the terrible news of natural disasters in the US, China, and Burma, I welcomed this fun and positive distraction. Larissa’s shows were recorded a few months ago, but their broadcast turned out to be very good timing indeed.
Man did she go down in flames today. Oh well. Looking forward to the TOC. Until then, just casual Jeopardy watching for me.
