In the middle of lunch today at work I suddenly saw a new, dark floater in my eye that still has a vitreous. I knew immediately it couldn’t be ignored, so I called my eye surgeon. He wanted to see me right away, and he found a small hole in the retina. He patched it with a laser, and it seems OK now, but I’m prohibited from running until my follow-up appointment next week. I can’t imagine what could have caused this, other than watching the K3 videos. 😉

He said they can sometimes be left alone, but not in this case, given my history. This eye has so much stuff swirling around that one more thing doesn’t matter.
OH, NO! Well, at least it’s not really bad news. I have a retinal hole in my left eye, which tore and healed itself. It was not discovered until probably close to a year later. I HAD noticed an increase in floaters, but nothing else. At that time, the opthamologist thought it prudent it to tack down the vitreous along the left edge as it was starting to tug at the retina. So far, no new problems!
Which eye was this in, the bad one or the “undone” one? And didn’t I warn you that watching too many bimbette videos would make you go blind and grow hair on your palms? 😉
