Forbes Magazine rates Boston the #2 city in America for young professionals. That’s good, because a couple of years ago the talk was of a Boston brain drain, with more than half of recent college grads leaving the city because of the high cost of living. San Francisco, an even more expensive place to live, ranks #1 according to Forbes.

HA! God, the world is so different than when we graduated from college (mid-to-late 70s). Back then, it was still very feasible to get a job somewhere with the idea of climbing up the corporate ladder and staying there. Not anymore. The future is in health tech jobs, I guess.
When I first moved to PA, in 1984, Pittsburgh was named the No. 1 city by Forbes that year. I had a blast working as a secretarial temp at some of the best companies in the country, such has Heinz World Headquarters. We all know that Heinz is outsourcing now, too.
