My not-so-secret shame, the Flemish girl group K3, will soon be gone, with the departure of Kathleen Aerts. The signs have been there for a while. Videos began to disappear from YouTube, including this one, which happens to be one of their very best.

In this video they’re acting the same silly way as the Monkees during the song breaks on their show. But, as with the Monkees, behind the scenes things weren’t as happy as they were made to seem on camera.
Kristel and Karen are genuinely upset by this, and I’m hoping there isn’t a Kathleen backlash. But she’s said that she would have to “force herself” to stay with K3, and that sounds like a bit of knock to me against the other two ladies.
God, I’m sitting here with tears rolling down my face! I have to admit, I was one of the harshest critics of K3 when you started posting them (as was Molly), but the girls won us both over, and now they will live on forever on DogRat.com! I feel like I did when the Beatles broke up. God, I wish we lived closer together so you could see Molly doing her “Koo-jee-stah” impersonation! She has the whole song memorized with the accent down cold!
