Speaking of 60’s fashions (see previous post), blog reader Lía Pamina, a lady of Spain and self-described 60’s retro girl, has a couple of delightful new recordings, singing the Beatles songs “Tomorrow Never Knows” and “You Like Me Too Much.” They’re produced by Robbie Leff, of the 60’s garage band The Crabs. Bravo, Lía!
Jeaniebeanie I’m glad you like sixties too, you are cool!!!
Jajajajaja 🙂
I used to have a jumped just like that … uh … way back in 1967! Great recordings. Now, if I could only get my daughter to wear modest clothes like that (sigh). Speaking of “The Girl from Ipanema,” I have the original long version on one of my compilation CDs. I was singing along to it while vacuuming the other day, and I elicited screams of horror from the family. Hey! I can’t help it if I sing like Linda McCartney 😉
You should call it “The Girl From Ipamina!”
Oh! Thanks so much for this, Doug!
I’m glad you like the songs :). I’m very happy recording with Robbie, he’s very talented musician. I like a lot his arrangements and his songs are great.
Happy holidays Doug!
p.s. We recorded too “The Girl From Ipanema” go here if you want to hear it 😉
