Breast cancer

As some of you know, and others may have suspected, the pink ribbon on the header was more than coincidental with my taking a break, and it wasn’t just in recognition of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month. We were scared, but it was the “best kind” of cancer to get, so we were lucky.

  1. YAY! You’re back! Actually, Molly thought to look you up (checking for anime). There’s a wealth of new material to fritter the day away! YAY! More importantly, Carol is OK! (too many exclamation points, as usual). I like your new link-up pictures.

  2. Thank you, Paul! I’m happy to have you here. BTW, I might be making a quick swing out to Albany tomorrow to see Joe Sinnott, Herb Trimpe and Joe Station.

  3. Doug,
I’m very happy to hear this news!!! I had stopped checking on your blog but thought, “well…maybe he’s updated the news…” and was thrilled to hear the news (and to see that you have been posting again!) Now, looking for your blog postings will be a part of my day again!…Paul Howley

  4. Although “congratulations” seems like an odd thing to say, it feels somehow appropriate… as in a triumph, a victory over adversity. My very best wishes, and prayers, are extended to all those who have been affected by this time of trial. And, welcome back to your blog, Doug… You were missed!
