Well…I’d hardly call it their first tour in 15 years. First tour with Mike Nesmith in 15 years, yes. But the other three toured just last year. Would have been nice to have all four for THAT concert. Too late now, Mike!
Lynn – Hey, thanks for the tip! My copy of “Catch Us If You Can/Having a Wild Weekend” is a VHS bootleg. Prue also has a connection to the Herman’s Hermits movie, “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter.” She isn’t in it, but she and her first husband knew the guy who wrote it. And Prue is friends with Chris Peers, one of the original directors of Island Records, that produced the Reggae gangster movie “The Harder They Come.” He discovered Millie “My Boy Lollipop” Small and the Spencer Davis Group with Steve Winwood.
Hey, Hey Doug, – I just received an announcement from Warner Bros. (WBShop.com) that the 1965 Dave Clark Five film, Having A Wild Weekend, (with bit part by Prue Bury) is available on DVD for $17.95. First time I’ve seen it for a reasonable price. Thought you might like to know! – Lynn
