Every so often I recall that, during my school years, I had restaurant jobs where I was a cook.
Peeling the white potatoes to mash them is the hardest part of making shepherd’s pie. I pre-cook a pound of ground turkey in an iron skillet. It goes in a casserole dish with creamed corn and chopped onion. The mashed potato with melted butter on it goes over that, then into the oven for a while.

This pizza crust was handmade with a powder mix that includes yeast. I like Trader Joe’s pizza sauce. Onion goes on that, then the cheese, and topped with green pepper after coming out of the oven.
