Here is something very special indeed. This is a portrait of Prudence Bury at age seventeen, while she attended the Royal School of Ballet. It was taken by Antony Armstrong-Jones, before he married Princess Margaret and was named the 1st Earl of Snowdon. Lord Snowdon is known for many things, among them his numerous portraits of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales.

This is a photo of a framed photo. In the reflection you can see one of Prue’s sons taking the picture, and some bookcases behind him.
Thank you, Prue! 🙂
OH! Thanks for making it lighter. It’s perfect here. God, she’s beautiful. Snowden was (is, he’s still alive, I presume) on par with our own Annie Lebowitz. maybe even better, though I think Annie’s have a more personal touch.
She is so beautiful!!, very beautiful photo
Lizzie — You’ve stated my view of Prue exactly, better than I have myself. She is a smart and talented lady, classy and gracious.
Lord Snowden certainly had a great eye for artistic photography! This was beautifully shot. It would make a nice oil painting, too. But then, Prue has such beauty, that it wasn’t hard to take a lovely photo of her.
Thank you, Doug, for giving us a glimpse into who Prudence Bury of “A Hard Day’s Night” is. I remember her so well from the film. I knew some things about Pattie Boyd, of course, but nothing about the dark-haired, dark-eyed gorgeous lass who was her companion. I thought that Prue was a classic beauty with class! And, to my taste, I always found her more appealing than the famous Pattie Boyd who married George Harrison and Eric Clapton.
