Bottom-Feeding TV
Being a cable TV cord-cutter with an outdoor antenna, I see subchannels come and go. The Movies! channel appeared on one station, then it disappeared before reappearing on a different station.
A recent addition in greater Boston is Movie Sphere Gold.
Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair has been showing in theaters. That’s the ideal viewing experience for Tarantino fans to see his ultra-violent homage to several film genres.
Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 is showing on Movie Sphere Gold. Heavily censored, aired here with commercials in highly compressed, lowly 480i, it’s far from ideal viewing. But it’s good enough to appreciate the cinematic mayhem.
It Doesn’t Matter Much to Me
I’m a day late with this clip from Monday’s Jeopardy! That’s okay, because the clue is also late. It would have been more poignantly timed on December 8.
The Twelve Days of Peanuts – 4
President Dry Drunk
Yesterday I said, “For someone who doesn’t drink, Trump’s late night rants are typical of someone with a substance abuse problem.”
Today, it’s reported that Trump’s Chief of Staff, Susie “Trump” Wiles, has said that DJT “has an alcoholic’s personality.”
No Love for Pratts?
I licensed yesterday’s Arlo & Janis comic strip for one-time use from Universal Features Syndicate (aka Andrews McMeel). King Features Syndicate doesn’t license its comic strips for online use. They’re shared by linking to them, or when Comics Kingdom features them elsewhere, such as Facebook. Not wanting to run afoul of the syndicate and the National Cartoonists Society, I will limit myself to a teaser image from today’s Snuffy Smith strip. Here is the link, showing Snuffy being pleased that Hootin’ Holler will no longer be plagued by the presence of Pratts.

Snuffy’s cartoonist is John Rose, who is a very good guy to meet, as I did at the NCS conference in August. I’m hoping the strip is an inside joke to Pratts who are friends of his! 🙂
