Fresh Apples
Later this month, Apple Records will release a pricey CD box set of non-Beatles albums from its catalog. Of wider interest is a companion collection of selected tracks. I’m happy and relieved that the song Sweet Music, from the Brother album by Lon and Derrek Van Eaton is listed, because I didn’t see it in Apple’s original announcement for the CD. Wednesday night, Lon Van Eaton talked with Randy “Now” Ellis on WTSR, at The College of New Jersey. There’s a short gap about 12:15 into the recording.

Roku Redux
Roku has posted this notice about yesterday’s problem with Netflix. This doesn’t make it clear whether the problem was entirely with Netflix, but I’ve done what it says here, and it worked on the HD-XR, which was still locked on “retrieving” — although the other unit, the original HD, appeared to be fine on its own this morning. Throughput is very choppy at the moment, especially for HD content.
Netflix Watch Instantly is DOWN!
Well, of course, now that I have a second Roku player in the house, Netflix’s streaming movie service is down. Wait! It finally came up on the computer, but it’s still “retrieving” on the Roku.
