He Alone Could Break It

“Nobody knows the system better than me.
Which is why I alone can fix it.”
– Donald Trump at the 2016 National Republican Convention

So this self-proclaimed stable genius, who knew more than everybody else about everything, and was always five steps ahead of the pack, was done in by a rigged election.

The Democrats, who are supposed to be so inept and clueless, were able to coordinate a massive, surreptitious fraud initiative across numerous states to unseat Trump.

Even if you buy into that nonsense, wouldn’t you rather go with the team that was able to outmaneuver him so effectively, despite twice failing to get an impeachment conviction?

Fritz Lang displayed a few touches of German Expressionism in Fury, his first American movie, but otherwise it’s directed in a straight-forward way. In the middle of the movie Spencer Tracy can’t use his left arm, and it’s almost a foreshadowing of his performance twenty years later in another powerful morality tale, Bad Day at Black Rock. The only complete online copy of Fury I found has Spanish subtitles, but it’s very watchable.
