Stephen Colbert had the week off, as did Jon Stewart. On the 30th they will have their joint rally in D.C. for sanity and/or fear. Colbert was on the daytime gabfest show The View this week. This is the second time in recent weeks he’s made an appearance where he’s dropped his character’s persona. I met Colbert briefly a few years ago, and he’s the real deal.

Jon Stewart got some laughs at Belgium’s expense last night. Hey, Mr. Daily Show, pick on somebody your own size! Although, come to think of it, I guess you were.

One thing worth mentioning about Belgium, in relation to America, is that a Belgian company owns Budweiser.

I’d love to be at the Jon Stewart-Stephen Colbert rally in Washington, D.C., on October 30, but I don’t know yet if that will happen. Today, Colbert tickled some funny bones — and ruffled some feathers — by appearing on Capitol Hill before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees, and Border Security.
