I Beat the Reaper!

A year ago I was in the first week of chemo and radiation treatments. They delayed the ablation for my persistent and asymptomatic, 24/7 AFib, thereby increasing the risk that it would become incurably chronic.

Today, thanks to Boston having the finest medical care in the world, I am greatly relieved to be free of cancer at my first three quarterly check-ups, and to know the AFib is gone.

Demolition Economics

If I have Trump Derangement Syndrome, it’s because Trump is deranged. Donald keeps acting out the one success he had in life, independent of his father, prior to entering politics — saying “you’re fired!” on The Apprentice.

He doesn’t like the latest employment data, so what did he do? He fired the Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner.

Trump should be pleased that the numbers show a weakness in job creation. Not only could it motivate the Fed to give Trump the lower interest rates that he wants, Trump could claim justification in saying Jay Powell always acts too late.

I’ll wait a few minutes before posting this to see how the stock market finishes the day/week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 542 points, or 1.2%. The S&P 500 shed 1.6%, while the Nasdaq Composite dipped 2.2%.
