I got “Who’s Next” for Christmas fifty — 50! — years ago.
More recently, Joe Pera had the same reaction to the album’s first song that I did, half a century ago.
And yes, there was a Sally who took my hand as we listened to the record together. Sally had brilliant red hair when I knew her, like Jenna Thiam a couple of posts ago.

England’s evacuation of Dunkirk happened 18 months before Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor, 80 years ago. The Day of Infamy made it official, that there was a second World War. BBC Radio has a collection of World War II audio essays. This is the Dunkirk installment.

After numerous failed attempts, I decided to take a once-and-for-all stab at fixing this site. Whether or not it’s completely working again, at least I did not die this day, and WordPress is finally running the current version. The Google Search Console is no longer complaining about the domain, which gives me a reason to not discontinue the blog.
