Special! Beatles’ Movie Preview

From the July, 1964 issue of Modern Screen magazine, a preview of “A Hard Day’s Night.”

Prue Bury, George Harrison, Pattie Boyd

My all-time favorite Beatles lady is the lovely and delightful Prudence Bury. Actually, I don’t think of Prue as being a Beatles girl, per se, because she’s so interesting in her own right.

Here is Prue with George and Pattie, but the article incorrectly identifies her as Tina Williams.

Prue and Pattie are mentioned again, but the pictures show neither of them, and Sue Whitman is incorrectly identified as Pattie.

And I don’t recall John Lennon ever saying he loved to dress like an English gentleman.

  1. Oh, sure! Prue was a beautiful girl and looked very happy too! She was a ballet dancer when she was young, wasn’t she? She really looks like one… a very classical beauty.

  2. I hear what you’re saying, May, but of course my preference is for Prue, who also seems very happy in the top photo. I should ask her if she still smokes. I have a very special photo with Pattie, Prue, and John Lennon coming up, hopefully next week.

  3. Pattie was truly an angel… she looked really so happy in the first picture! She just had the bonniest eye, the sweetest smile, and seemed so endearing… she was special! πŸ™‚

  4. Prue does indeed have a show coming up. Being in Spain, you’re a lot closer to France than we are here in America, Lia!

It is funny that they identified incorrectly the girls.

  6. Wow! When does this great movie come out? Imagine – a Beatles movie made just after they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show! I hope there’s plenty of songs! But the real question is – can the boys act?
