My aging Squeezebox Touch audio streamer in the living room fell off the network. Unlike my experiences with past troubles, it refused to recover, so I gave up and bought a WiiM Pro Plus.
Then, of course, when I checked the Touch again, it jumped right back on the network. A hardware problem, undoubtedly.
Everything is under assault by Trump and Republicans, from Democracy to the Rule of Law. Perhaps the longest-lasting damage will come from placing superstition above science.
“An Evening with Sy Barry” came off very well indeed. Attendees included residents of the facility, high school students, and some college students. Most of them were unlikely to be very familiar with Sy’s work. So, he was pleased when I chimed in with the names of some of his former colleagues and dearly departed old friends, such as Infantino, Toth, Giella, Giacoia, and Romita.

I will be visiting with Mr. Barry tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow, I will be attending an informal lunch with the New England chapter of the National Cartoonists Society. The invitation came with homework — a drawing for Inktober.
This took four hours, from preliminary sketch to inked finish. It’s a compositional mess, and my inking needs work, and much more patience, but it’s done.
I added a splash of color to a laser printer copy of the scan.
