Be True to Your Song

Radiohead was sued by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood for copyright infringement, over the song “Creep.”

The songwriters alleged it sounded too similar to “The Air That I Breathe.”

The song that I think “Creep” borrows from — intentionally or not — is from 1964, expressing support for the surfin’ Beach Boys against the rising Beatles tide.

Leading by Example

Commentators and comedians have pointed out how the Trumpster praises the attractiveness of his daughter Ivanka. Last year I posted this about Trump’s former personal attorney, now self-confessed felon, Michael Cohen.

Cohen’s lawyer has reportedly set up a GoFundMe page for his client, seeking half a million bucks, but I’m not going to look for it, let alone link to it! Obviously, the lawyer will be taking his cut out of the proceeds.

Now I’ve Seen Everything

My good friend Bismo from B-Movie Blues… on stage at Terrificon in Connecticut… with legendary comic book writer/editor Roy Thomas… doing a couple of Elvis songs?? It was a fantastic scene, and a once-in-a-lifetime event that was straight from the Bizarro World!

For an extra special bonus, before joining the ranks of Elvis impersonators, Thomas visited with my pal Joltin’ Joe Sinnott, who was one of Roy’s most valuable artistic assets at Marvel Comics.
